Cairnbrogie is blessed with a large area in which to develop MTB trails. Our aim is to provide intermediate skill riding for young riders. The learning of basic bike control skills will be a focus of the trails. Older more experienced riders can enjoy remarkable scenery on their way to the well know SANPARKS and Cape Pine MTB trails. Our kid friendly routes are the 1.3 km, a 2.6 km and a 4 km.   The 11 km is not so kid friendly as it is long, but not difficult. It passes through some of the most spectacular scenery on the Garden Route.

1.3 km route

1.3 km Route – Perfect for young children. Fairly flat in profile, this route has some short tight turns through the forest with some berms to help you around the tunes.

2.6 km route

2.6 km Route  – perfect for young children looking for a little more distance. All of the same route as the 1.3 km, but include a fast flowing route through the meadow with some high speed berms.

4 km route

4 km Route – using much of the 1.3 and 2.6 km route, the 4 km route adds some tougher bumpy climbs and some technical riding through the forest and around the dam.

11 km route

11 Km Route – is a route that takes you around much of the farm.  Starting on normal farm roads, you wind your way towards the coast where you will enter into a world of flowing single track, farm styles and some of the most spectacular views you can imagine. Very hard to keep focused on the trail that can be technical at times as it winds its way through the Fynbos towards the west end of the farm, where you can choose to cross over into the Cape Pine plantations which will in turn take you through to the wonderful red route, blue route and green route in the Harkerville forest.

11 km route

5 km Cross Country Mountain Bike race track – Designed with skill development in mind, this cross country track will offer everything from terrain gardens, rock gardens, sharp climbing turns, high speed flowing single track and anything else we can muster up to develop racing skills.
